I’m planning on launching my perfume oils on Faunfare in about 3 weeks. I will be running a promotion when they make their debut and giving everyone the chance to buy a bottle of their voted favourite blend on sale for $12 instead of the regular $15 and with free shipping. However, you need to vote on your favourite oil from the samples or on their descriptions by leaving a comment below.
WHITE POPLAR: An homage to the Greek God of the Dead. Rich, earthy and spicy, with a hint of bitterness. Top notes are fresh and grassy, but like a descent into the Underworld, transforms into a cold, dark and earthy scent after a couple of hours of wear. Essential oils of patchouli, cedarwood, cypress, petitgrain, bergamot, and peppermint.
GOLDEN LYRE: A melodious, Apollonian blend of the sweetest fruits that dances on the skin. Top notes of mandarin are energising and filled with joie de vivre. It gracefully fades into a more floral scent after a couple hours of wear. Essential oils of cedarwood, rosewood, clove, petitgrain, mandarin.
HUNTRESS: A strong-willed scent that is both self-possessed and wild-at-heart. Top notes of bergamot sharpen the senses for your stalk through the groves at dusk. The citrusy fragrances meld tenderly with heart notes of feminine rosewood. Essential oils of patchouli, cedarwood, rosewood, and bergamot.
NYCTANTHOUS: For those who come alive at night, delicate jasmine blossoms haunt this melancholy scent. When the sweet buds wither, intoxicating violet leaf grounds and centres, leaving you to drift into a reverie on soft, shady grass. Essential oils of jasmine, violet leaf, and violet.
CHYPRE: An impassioned brew of hungry vanilla, mysterious oakmoss, and lusty rose damask. Tenderly romantic and mercilessly erotic. The ultimate aphrodisiac no faun could live without. Essential oils of vanilla, oakmoss, rose, and ylang ylang.
HOOF & HORN: Inspired by the carousing faun who is fire and laughter to the bone. A rich and creamy blend of luscious blood oranges served with lashings of vanilla. Sweet, warm and utterly delectable. Essential oils of vanilla, orange, and grapefruit.
SATYRION: Inspired by the untamed satyr who is beast and music to the soul. Dark and warm like sugared figs washed down with a chalice full of mulled wine. Essential oils of oakmoss, cedarwood, clove, and mandarin.
I’ll close voting just before they launch and will choose the most desired oil to be listed with this promotional offer.
I've also listed a pack of all 7 sample vials at a special price available to purchase from my shop.

Oooh! Hoof & Horn sounds wonderful! (actually they all sound great!)
White Poplar sounds beautiful.
I must admit I hate the scent of Ylang Ylang. I don't know a thing about perfume blending - I suppose that standalone scents that an individual finds awful could be transformed when blended with other oils?
'The Chypre' stood out for me, but after Luminaria said she's not enthused by the smell of Ylang Ylang, I'm not so sure anymore! I've always been a fan of vanilla, so I also like the sound of 'Hoof and Horn'! It sounds very tasty..
Amber--thanks for your vote! Hoof & Horn does seem to be the most popular choice at the moment, based on what others have been telling me, and what they have selected on my Etsy store.
Luminaria--ylang ylang is a very dominant scent and needs to be used in small quantities so to not overpower the entire perfume. However, it is a base-middle note and tends to linger a little longer after the top notes have worn off. You know how I have always been uncomfortable with the scent of lavender? I reluctantly bought a bottle of lavender essential oil, but was completely mesmerised by how different it smells from lavender extract or dried lavender buds, which I find acrid and unappealing. The oil though, is deep, well-rounded and floral, which I found is the same with ylang ylang. Let me know when you try Chypre if the ylang ylang is still too strong for you :).
Rajita--best to just try it for yourself first and find what melds well with your unique body chemistry. Ylang ylang is one of my personal favourites, and if I had to choose one of my blends to wear, it would be Chypre. It's kind of exuberant at first scent but as you get to know it, the perfume evolves to become something layered, complex and incredibly beautiful. Based on absolutely nothing but my intuition, I think you will like it too ;).
i love the new additions (names and descriptions) on this list! i have to email you soon (instead of my erractic short replies from my phone!) to further discuss our new endeavor :)
Andrea--I can't wait! I've so appreciated having your support and inspiration!
Hi there - I received my samples order yesterday and find it hard to pick a favourite they are all absolutely delicious ! I think my favourite at the moment is Huntress which I had to wear straight away when I received my order although I have chosen to wear Hoof and Horn today :)
Thanks for your vote, Samara!! I'm so thrilled you like them. You told me you're a Sagittarian right? Why am I not surprised you like the scent named after fellow archer? ;)
This is true Helena - kind of makes sense doesn't it - means you have got your blends down pat too !
Hi Helena, I received your samples yesterday and eagerly tried all of them out right away. I love all your blends, even Chypre! You mentioned briefly that you'll set up a site for reviews of your perfumes and such. I would love to contribute something if you are interested. I'm eagerly waiting for your description of Mandragora too :).
Thanks, Luminaria! I'm actually in the process of setting it up right now although I need to tweak it a little more to see if I can integrate user-submitted reviews of individual scents. I really can't wait to hear more of your thoughts on them! Mandragora will be released very, very soon... I've already been playing with the labels today :).
